Dried Figs Ratafià


Ingredients:
  • 1 liter alcohol 95º
  • 3 ½ cups dried figs
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 ¼  liters of water

Clean the dried figs with a damp cloth.
Dry well and cut them in half.
Put the dried figs, the vanilla bean and the alcohol in an airtight jar.
Let soak for 1 month, shaking every day.
Filter.
Make a syrup with the sugar and the water.
Add the syrup to the alcohol.
Bottle and let rest for 1 month.



The right way to serve the Dried Figs Ratafià is on a dried fruit salad.
Cut in little pieces some dried figs, dried plums, dried apricots and dates.
Put 4 tablespoons of the fruit in a large glass and fill with Dried Figs Ratafià.
